Carolina Nava was born and raised in Maracaibo, Venezuela. She is a mother of 3 children. Carolina and her family moved to Portland in March of 2022, seeking new opportunities.

Carolina graduated with a degree in Social Communication. She has a solid educational background that she has been able to apply in her work as a teacher. Since April 2022, she has served as a Lead teacher at Casita Azul, where she stood out for her dedication and commitment to the education of children.

As Coordinator of Casita 5, Carolina will utilize her knowledge and skills to provide the best care and education to the children who are part of the Casita Azul Family. She is constantly training and learning new tools that help her gain confidence and become an exceptional mentor to other teachers as well as a great coordinator for Casita Azul 5.

Her experience as a grandmother of a grandson who has been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder has transformed her life and given her a unique perspective on children with special needs and she is now constantly learning new information and gaining experience in this area. Carolina says the following: “The experience with my grandson changed my life and has awakened in me a passion to acquire all the necessary tools to help him. It is those same tools that now allow me to share my experience and my love with students at Casita Azul."
